Weather: Humid
Its time to update again after another day of me missing Kelvin :D The previous post has got no comments and Im feeling a little down haha but nvm.. Just wanna make it clear that people who read, you guys can comment alright. Dont feel restricted or paiseh because both Kelvin and me badly needs support from you all :)
Today Kelvin did not visit the Medical officer because there were no Medical officers on duty during weekends but his wound is healing already. Today we had even longer time to chat. Praise God! :) He called me at 1010 and we had time to talk till 1050, which was close to 40mins.
During the conversation, there was much commotion going on over at the bunk and while talking I can hear Kelvin also talking to his bunk mates (he's multi-tasking) and they are shouting (in a friendly tone) to each other.. It seems that Kelvin is kind of starting to enjoy the navy life now. You know when you have friends or "brothers" suffering together, you tend to feel that training is tough but start to enjoy it.. (argh i dont know how to explain it in words, but i know you all understand).
Kelvin was lamenting how tough training was today and the platoon always got into punishment over some "dumb" platoon mates who always wants to skive or do things wrongly. Many punishments, many push-ups and many muscle-aches.
Poor Kelvin has developed rashes over his body which is causing him to itch all over.. Why? Because this is the first time he has to wash his clothes by hand and in my opinion, i think he didnt wash the soap clean and thus making his body itch plus he only has like 3set of clothes so he HAS to wash them so he has decided to wash his clothes only with plain water from now onwards until he books out, he will bring them home to wash with the WASHING MACHINE :D Wise choice.
There seems to be many interesting happenings happening in camp right now and though he misses his family and friends, I know that he will grow to love this military life in time to come :D He was laughing alot and less grumbles was heard in the 40min phone call.
I am learning too and I am more joyful now :)
